This standardIS 16107-2-1: 2012 is for LED luminaires for general lighting applications acknowledges the need for relevant tests for luminaires using this new source of electrical light, sometimes called solid state lighting. This standard is seen in close context with simultaneously developed publication of performance standards for luminaires in general and for LED modules. Changes in the LED luminaires standard will have impact on the module standards and vice versa, due to the behaviour of LED.
